No transaction can complete until Housing Consent is obtained. Your lawyer will normally deal with this aspect for you and will ensure that consent is received in good time before completion of your transaction.
Housing Fee
If you have agreed a transaction through ND Estates it will be necessary in each instance to apply to the Housing Minister for consent to the property transfer. This involves the completion and signing of a Housing Application Form and submission of the form to the Population Office. There is a fee of £50.00 payable at the time of the submission of the application and generally the Purchaser will make a cheque payable to the Treasurer of the States and ND Estates will submit the form to the Population Office. If further information is required it may be necessary to submit the form to either the Vendors or the Purchasers lawyers who in turn will submit the form.
